Progress

Well "The Punishment of Lust Reworked" (working title) has come on a bit.  I am leaving the dust to settle on it before I have a final push at it though.  The colours have gone a bit psychedelic...  I am unsure about the figure at this time.  It may be washed out in the final edit.  Two things further I think need to happen.  1. Bring some of the abstract shapes from the background so they surround the painting. 2. A more delicate finish of the stage backdrop is required.  But almost there I think.

  1. I might also add a lighting rig in the foreground...

  2. Me and Hannah think it's lush! We are in favour of losing the figure though, keep up the good work x

  3. i think you are right about bringing the colourful shapes round from the background to encircle the foreground, i'm imagining one of those hair dryers they have in old hairdressers that you put your entire head in, imagine one of those encompassing the landscape.

the perspectives and shapes into which you twist and balloon your landscapes and interiors are fantastic, you have a real ability for skewing right to the point of non recognition, i cant think of any other painters who are as capable with creating skewed perspectives as you, i think you are on to something,

i'm unsure about the lighting rig idea - i think its too literal. I agree with hannah and cat about loosing the figure, however maybe you could keep an object of a similar shape in its place hovering in the space. just loose the 'look' of a figure.

keep at it mate, its gonna be awesome!
